Full Description

Job Title: Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech (#441217)

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, acquire high-quality nuclear medicine studies, and provide patient care across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations in accordance with departmental procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.


Minimum Requirements

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent.
  • Current NV state Nuclear Medicine license required. Candidate must have NV license in hand prior to start date.
  • Certification: AART or RCIS required.
  • BLS (AHA) certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience required.
  • Experience working with scintillation cameras, radiation detection equipment, and nuclear medicine information systems.
  • Experience providing nuclear medicine services across age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff regarding scheduling, patient preparation, and exam selection.
  • Ability to perform minor clerical duties and to follow state and federal radiopharmaceutical handling regulations.
  • Preferred: Experience in high-volume hospital or trauma center settings and familiarity with ordering radiopharmaceuticals and coordinating vendor repairs.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift hours: 0600-1700 (scheduled as 4x10s, 0630–1700 noted in facility template; schedule may rotate days of the week).
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 40.
  • Call requirements: No routine call; participation in call may occur at supervisor discretion during short staffing. Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
  • Floating: Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to competency level.
  • Additional scheduling notes: May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period. Facility retains right to cancel shifts for low census as specified by contract terms.
