Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist – Travel Job (#446495)
Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in St. Louis, MO. Use your expertise to perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will be responsible for operation and quality assurance of imaging equipment, patient monitoring, and support during a range of IR procedures including central venous catheter placements, diagnostic angiograms, Y-90 mappings/treatments, gastrostomy tube placements, percutaneous nephrostomy tube placements, and peripheral artery disease interventions.
Minimum Qualifications
- ARRT (Radiography) required.
- BLS certification required.
- ARRT-VI preferred.
- 1 year IR experience required. 2 years preferred.
- Experience in interventional radiology procedural settings, including support for vascular and venous procedures.
- Experience with monitoring and imaging equipment used in IR suites.
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- State radiologic technologist license for Missouri.
- First-time travel clinicians accepted with 2 years of IR experience (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT-VI certification.
- Prior experience in a hospital interventional radiology department with multi-room procedural flow.
- Comfort functioning as backup or on-call support during procedural overruns.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 07:30 - 18:00 (4x10-hour schedule).
- Workweek includes Monday through Friday with one Saturday hour shift (0800-1600) during a 13-week period.
- Weekend call coverage: Friday 16:00 through Monday 07:30; assigned on-call 1–2 times during a 13-week assignment.
- Assigned backup duties expected approximately once per week due to procedural variability.
- Average daily caseload: 6–8 procedures per technologist.
- Procedure rooms: 9.
