Job Title: Certified Surg Tech – Travel Job (#441225)
Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent CST credential.
- BLS Certification required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist or OR Technician in a hospital surgical environment.
- Required experience with orthopedic and neurosurgical cases due to volume of ortho and neuro procedures.
- Required robotics experience (DaVinci Robot proficiency preferred).
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred.
- Ability to perform cases across a broad case mix including general, GYN, GU, ortho, neuro, plastics, ENT, thoracic, endoscopy, and trauma.
- Must meet facility radius rule: candidate residence must be within 50 miles as determined by driver’s license at submittal.
- Driver’s license required at time of submittal.
- Must comply with facility fingernail policy: artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas.
- Orientation requirement: approximately 12 hours.
- Preferred: CST certification; BLS required.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital (Operating Room department).
- Shift name: Days.
- Shift pattern: Primarily 5×8 shifts with some 8- and 12-hour options (examples: 0630–1500 or 0630–1900).
- Call requirements: Weekly 1–4 hour call period after a shift and rotating weekend call approximately every 5 weeks. Two call teams alternate first and second call every 12 hours.
- Case mix includes robotics, neuro, ortho, general, GYN, GU, plastics, ENT, thoracic, endoscopy, pediatrics for emergency situations.
- Equipment: DaVinci robotic systems (x3), Stealth, O-arm, holmium lasers.
- Floating: No floating outside of the OR.
- Orientation hours: 12 hours.
